Danielle Armstrong has quit TOWIE amid rumours she'll be one of the 'new stars' on Celebrity Big Brother 2017.
The reality telly star said goodbye to The Only Way Is Essex earlier this year with her exit playing out in last night's show on ITVBe.
"I said goodbye to The Only Way Is Essex. It is really sad, I feel really emotional today," Danielle said in a video on the official TOWIE Twitter account.
She concluded: "I will still obviously be in touch with everyone but I feel like after tonight I've said my goodbyes. I've had my closure and I can now look forward to my future."
Danielle's TOWIE exit comes just in time for her to appear in the new series of Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5.
If she does enter the house, Danielle would be the seventh star from the reality series to appear after Gemma Collins, Mario Falcone, Lauren Goodger, Sam Faiers, Kirk Norcross and Amy Childs.
"Danielle has a big personality and would be a great asset to the house," a source said previously. “She’s looking to branch out now her Towie days are over and sees CBB as a great way to do this."
The insider added: “Her fellow Towie stars have managed to get their own shows out their stint in the house – she wants to do likewise.”
Channel 5 this month announced that the new series will - as widely rumoured - see a mix of former Celebrity Big Brother housemates as well as new faces.
"This time we’ve invited back some of your favourite CBB housemates: the All Stars who will be joined by a bunch of brand new celebrity housemates: the New Stars," the channel explained. "Together they’ll be living in the Big Brother house which has been given a colourful pop art makeover."
Past housemates who are rumoured to be returning include Angelique 'Frenchy' Morgan,, Katie Price, Nicola McLean, American couple Speidi - Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag - and model Jasmine Lennard.
Celebrity Big Brother 2016 begins in January on Channel 5.
