The pair met on Big Brother's previous summer series in 2016.
In September the guys announced they were engaged, two months following the end of the show.
"So the cats out the bag me and @hughie_maughan are officially engaged! So happy and can't wait for the future #biggaygypsywedding ??" Ryan tweeted at the time.
Hughie added: "FINALLY me and ryan can announce that we are officially ENGAGED! We are so happy and everythin feels right, huge hi five 2 the doubters"
Their fellow BBUK housemates were quick with their congratulations, as Ryan invited Georgina Leigh Cantwell and Lateysha Grace to be bridesmaids.
However in April Ryan and Hughie took to Twitter again to announce they had split up.
"Just to let you no me and Hughie are no longer together thanks for your support but we have called it a day," Ryan tweeted.
Hughie posted online: "Me and Ryan have decided to end our relationship, none of this is for publicity, none of this is fake, it was a real relationship"
Now just weeks later, it's all change again with Hughie confirming they were back together online: "Me and Ryan are back speaking and we are trying to work on our relationship and are together again, it's been hard away but worth it.
"We aren't living together but we are talking again and in contact and have decided to give it another go but slowly moving forward."
Ryan added: “Time apart has done us good and made us realise what we want we are taking things slow but we don’t just want to throw away what we had x.”
Although the couple got together on Big Brother, they revealed previously they actually knew one another - and even dated - before the show.
"[Big Brother] didn't know we knew each other but me and Hughie have dated in the past well before big brother and then ended up in there together," Ryan explained online.
The former X Factor contestant added: "Yeah we knew each other VERY well if ya get me haha, but must of looked like we never , we dated for a few months a year ago X"
Big Brother is back this summer on Channel 5.
