Britain's Got Talent 2017 finalist Daliso Chaponda has announced details of his first ever comedy tour.

The Malawian-born comic thrilled viewers with his hilarious gags on the ITV talent contest, and even won judge Amanda Holden's 'Golden Buzzer' place.

Now he's set to hit the road early next year with his own stand-up show, 'What The African Said'.

Daliso, who has worked as a journalist and newsreader, commented: "Laughter is how I cope with pain. I have seen and experienced some horrible things but laughter helped me cope.

"Telling jokes is repaying the favor. This show is my thanks to the laughter."

The 31-date tour will begin in Nottingham on 8th February and conclude in Edinburgh on 27th April.

Tickets go on sale today, and you can find more information - including a full list of dates - on Daliso's website.

The funnyman's career has been reaching new heights since he took third place in the BGT final earlier this month.

In addition to the tour, Daliso is also working on his debut solo comedy series for BBC Radio 4.

'Citizen of Nowhere' will see him explore the historical relationship between Britain and Africa, while sharing his own experiences of both places.

Explaining how it came to be, he recently told The Sun: "I pitched the show to producers, who were just going to give me one pilot and see what the reaction was.

"But after they saw I was funny on telly they offered me the whole series. BGT has opened all the doors for me."
