Britain's Got Talent singing star Ryan O’Shaughnessy has revealed he has had a 'heart to heart' with Katie Lucia Keegan, the girl that inspired his audition song.
Ryan wowed the judges at the weekend with the heart-melting performance of his self-penned ballad, called simply no name, about a girl who he fancied.
That girl was [tag]Katie Lucia Keegan[/tag]!
Speaking after his audition aired to an impressive 12 million people over the weekend, Ryan said: "It’s still sinking in.
"I’m trying to make sense of it all. I was performing last night at a local gig with friends. We stopped momentarily to watch BGT. Everyone was so congratulatory. The support from family, friends and the public has been phenomenal. I celebrated later on by going to the pub with friends to drink more than a few beers!"
And the girl?
"I telephoned her this morning," Ryan told the official ITV website today. "Up until seeing the show, she’d had no idea. My friend was shocked but told me she that she is delighted, flattered and honoured. I plan on hopefully taking her out so watch this space."
But it seems that Katie may find herself with some competition now!
Ryan admitted: "I’ve had so many emails and tweets. I even received a marriage proposal.
"I’d really like to thank everyone for being so kind. Music is the forefront of everything I do. I like to make people smile and hopefully forget about any problems they may have."
