One Dancing On Ice 2013 fan has put £5,000 on Matt Lapinskas winning the show, although Beth Tweddle remain the favourite!
Keith Chegwin finally got the axe in last night’s Dancing On Ice 2013 results after being voted into the bottom two for a fourth time.
Now Matt has been subject to the largest Dancing on Ice bet in history according to Ladbrokes.
After scoring a whopping 35.5 points in Sunday night’s show – the highest of the series so fa – the Eastenders actor once again closed in on favouritism, and his performance caught the eye of one punter in the capital who placed £5000 to win on him immediately after the judges’ scores were announced.
Beth maintains the top spot in the betting at even money, but Matt is jostling for contention at 6/5. Gareth Thomas is the most likely contestant to cause an upset at 10/1, but it’s hard to see Samia (25/1) or Luke (50/1) pulling it off.
Jess Bridge from Ladbrokes said: “The stature of this bet speaks volumes and after Matt’s performance on Sunday maybe we were too quick to write him off after finding himself in the bottom two a couple of weeks back.”
Next weekend’s seventh live show will see the remaining five skaters – Matt Lapinskas, Luke Campbell, Garteh Thomas, Beth Tweddle and Samia Ghadie – take on props week.
