Love Island 2017 cast

The Love Island 2017 cast hasn't been unveiled just yet but there have been some rumours. 21-year-old Jane Parks is reportedly in talks to join the cast for the third series of the show.

The youngster has been in the papers recently after revealing plans to sue the lottery following a £1 million win when she was aged 17. Jane appeared on a number of TV shows to talk about her case, including Loose Women where supposedly members of the Love Island casting team were interested in chatting to her.

Also rumoured is the daughter of Big Brother star Lisa Appleton, Sophia-Maria.

Meanwhile, heat magazine has reported that plus-sized model Melicia Chivers could make an appearance too, alongside Danny Latimer, who has previously appeared on reality shows Desperate Scousewives and Shipwrecked: Battle of the Islands, together with hunky fitness expert Ross Dickerson.

Another name rumoured is personal trainer and model David Lundy, who reportedly dumped his girlfriend after signing up for the show.

Host Caroline wrote on Twitter: "I saw the casting tapes for this years Love Islands peeps yesterday .... LOTS OF TATS... LOTS OF SKIN... LOTS OF LOLS"

Reports have suggested that potential Islanders are being trialled out in the villa to determine who will make the final cast.

Those that impress producers will make the cut and join the line up when Love Island series 3 launches.

What's new this year?

Caroline's still hosting and Iain Stirling will return to voice the series, but what else is new?

Well as as well as introducing this year’s fresh batch of Love Islanders, Caroline will also host a brand new weekly live studio show in the UK called AfterSun that will keep Love Island on everyone’s lips throughout the summer.

Airing on SUNDAY nights, with a panel of different celebrity guests each week, the show will offer viewers first reaction to the goings on in the villa, exclusive interviews with dumped islanders, and all the gossip from the sauciest and sexiest series to date.

Meanwhile contestants will be braced for a bombshell whenever Caroline drops in – she will be appearing in the villa throughout the series to deliver shock announcements and surprise twists that are guaranteed to test relationships in the islanders’ passion-fuelled paradise to the max.

Last year’s show saw pairings go from frivolous flirts to a number of fully fledged couples who are still together: Alex and Olivia, Scott and Kady and Rykard and Rachel.

As well as still being together, Alex and Olivia have gone even further, recently getting engaged in the New Year.

However winners Winners Nathan and Cara announced that they had split last month - but have since revealed they're expecting a baby together.

Love Island will air on ITV2 this year.
