The winners of ITV2's Love Island last summer seemed to have a super strong relationship, but rumours last month were that they may be about to go their separate ways.
And earlier this week that speculation was seemingly proved true, with the pair deciding to call time on their relationship.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “They’ve both mutually agreed to call it quits.
“It hasn’t been an easy decision but in the end they decided things would be better apart.
“They stayed really amicable and will definitely do all they can to be friendly.”
Now Nathan has spoken out to confirm the split in a message on Instagram.
He told his followers: "The worst feeling in the world is when you know that you both love each other, but still you can’t be together ! Me and Cara have split, we’ve had the summer of our lives together, but sadly come to a end, I wish her the best for the future 💔”
While it's over for the winners, other couples from last year's show remain together.
They include Kady and Scott as well as the recently engaged Olivia and Alex.
Love Island returns to ITV2 this summer.
