Love Island 2017 secrets revealed from the 200 condoms to the 70 cameras

The Hideaway.

Love Island 2017 is well underway and here's all you need to know about how it works behind the scenes.

This year the Love Islanders are living in a brand new villa, a luxury paradise that will play host to the love and lust as the temperatures are raised and the pulses race faster than ever before.

Show bosses are keen for the Islanders to practice safe sex and so a total of 200 own branded Love Island condoms can be found strategically placed around the villa, meaning there's always one on hand.

Meanwhile, it's been revealed that the Love Island villa this year also has Wi-Fi, but producers insist it's not directly available to the Islanders and instead is used to deliver the messages to their phones we see on the show.

Wi-Fi isn't the only luxury on site either, with the Love Islanders also provided with lunch and dinner leaving them just to feed themselves for breakfast.

As well as that, they also get their bed sheets regularly washed for them every few days, which is probably a VERY good thing...

Finally there's the cameras: A total of 70 around the villa which is more than ever, including one under water.

Filming 24/7, all the cameras result in a LOT of footage that the editors must go through each day to decide what makes it into the nightly shows.

Meanwhile, this year’s series will be accompanied by a weekly live studio show in the UK, Love Island: Aftersun, which will keep Love Island on everyone’s lips throughout the summer.

Caroline Flack will be joined by a panel of different celebrity guests each week, with the show offering viewers first reaction to the goings on in the villa, exclusive interviews with dumped islanders, and all the gossip from the sauciest and sexiest series to date.

Love Island 2017 continues nightly on ITV2 at 9PM.

Spin-off series Aftersun airs Sundays at 10PM.
