Sam Gowland has tried to put the moves on Montana Brown in the Love Island villa.

The pair coupled up officially for the first time in last night's show and Sam wasted no time in getting handsy as the pair lay in bed together.

However Montana didn't seem entirely impressed with just how quick Sam was taking their relationship.

"Baby steps!" she told him under the covers. "Keep your tongue to yourself!"

She then laughed: ""You're literally grabbing my a**e with the lights on, I can't take you seriously!"

Sam picked Montana in the latest recoupling following a rather awkward kiss between them earlier in the week.

And it seems viewers really don't know what to make of the pairing.

Former Love Islander Kady McDermott tweeted this week: "Montana and Sam are worlds apart. Oddest couple yet. Love them both but I think they're better as friends #loveisland"

However Strictly's James Jordan suggested: "I think Sam and Montana could be a power couple if they last on #LoveIsland "

Meanwhile, the latest recoupling saw Chris Hughes and Mike Thalassitis come to blows over Olivia Attwood.

Mike had been given the first choice of the girls as the latest to enter the villa and Chris wasn't at all happy when he picked Oliva.

Chris ended up recoupling with Chloe on a friendship basis, having previously dumped her to make a move on Olivia, who was previously partnered with Sam.

Following the recoupling, Chris took Olivia aside to make his feelings for her known: "I f**king like you. I can't mug myself. If you want to go there, tell me, because you're the only one who can."

Talking about Mike, he added: "I dunno what he can offer you that I can't."

Love Island 2017 continues nightly on ITV2 at 9PM.
