Sir Bradley Wiggins has quit The Jump 2017 after breaking his leg, it's been revealed.
In last night's show, we saw Bradley being given a pass through to the third week of The Jump 2017 after a leg injury ruled him out of the evening's snow cross event.
The live episode of the Channel 4 show saw contestants skate down the snow cross, a 175 metre track lined with obstacles including a corkscrew tunnel and punchbags.
However, Bradley struggled to get to grips with the event during training.
"I'm terrible at this," he said. "I just hate this event, it’s a lottery."
Bradley was eventually ruled out of the event, having incurred a leg injury earlier in the week.
Presenter Davina McCall confirmed the news, saying: "Bradley's damaged his leg in snow cross training, and the medics have ruled he cannot race tonight."
Bradley said: "I'm disappointed, I'd love to be up there with the boys. As a sportsman, we all want to be competing."
While he was originally given a bye through to next weekend's show, it's now been decided that due to his leg injury Bradley can no longer take part.
According to The Sun newspaper, Sir Bradley has fractured his left leg.
“He doesn’t need an operation but he does need to rest and that’s why he couldn’t carry on competing," a source said. “He hurt himself in snow-cross training. It’s a cross between ice skating and skiing. It’s like an obstacle course."
Channel 4 told the newspaper: "Bradley injured his leg during training and although keen to continue in the competition he will no longer take part.”
Sir Bradley is the second celeb to be ruled out of this year's show due to injury: Vogue Williams failed to even make the first live show after injuring her knee.
Meanwhile, Big Brother's Josie Gibson and comic Mark Dolan have both been eliminated.
The Jump 2017 airs Sunday nights on Channel 4.
