Andrea Begley has been crowned winner of The Voice 2013 UK on BBC One.
This evening’s last live show saw the final four – Leah McFall, Matt Henry, Andrea Begley and Mike Ward – kick off singing both a new solo song and a duet with their coach.
Lines opened after each of the four piece had performed for the first time and frozen after their second performances to decide the fourth placed finisher.
Matt was announced as the artist with the fewest votes in the first Voice final results of the evening, leaving Leah, Mike and Andrea to fight it out in the second half of the show.
Leah, Mike and Andrea then went on to return to the stage for a third time and perform their favourite song from the series before lines closed for good.
Hosts Holly and Reggie then revealed the results in a tense announcement.
The artist with the most viewer votes tonight and therefore the winner of The Voice 2013 was Andrea Begley.
It was a surprise, with Leah the odds-on favourite going into the show tonight.
Speaking after her shock win, Team Danny singer Andrea said: “I don’t know if I can speak… I just want to thank everyone for voting and I hope I can go on and do well.”
Danny added: “I’m so proud, it proves a great singer with a great song can smash down walls. You’re an inspiration to me, I’ve learnt a lot from you.”
Andrea’s winners song, In The Arms of An Angel, is out for download now.
