The Voice 2014 contestants: Christina Marie is new favourite to win

Christina Marie (The Voice 2014)

Team Ricky's Christina Marie is the new favourite to win The Voice UK 2014.

Last night we saw Christina, Iesher Haughton, Jermain Jackman, Sophie May Williams, Chris Royal, Emily Adams, Lee Glasson, Jamie Johnson, Rachael O’Connor, Bizzi Dixon, Georgia Harrup and Sally Barker all make it through to this year's live finals, which begin at the weekend.

And as the judges whittled their contestants down to their final three acts it's Christina who leads the betting at 3/1 to secure her mentor, Ricky Wilson, a win on his début.

Sally Barker finds herself positioned in second spot with odds of 7/2, whilst former favourite Rachael O'Connor has slipped down the betting to 5/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "It's all change at the top of the market and after making Ricky's final three the money suggests the competition is Christina's to lose."

Sally Barker is favourite with Corals @ 5/2 .. so why Ladbrokes think it's " Christina's to lose " I have no idea ..

And Christina is favourite with other bookmakers and so is Sally, and on and on, with odds drifting or shortening almost by the minute. What difference does it make, mate?

Money talks my friend .. just as it did with Sam Bailey .. but my point was Jessica Bridge's comment " it's Christina's to lose " is ludicrous as she isn't even favourite with some firms and is clear 2nd fav behind Sally on Betfair and with Corals

Karaoke Christina is awful, also the "early favourite" almost never wins, thankfully.

Awful? She's miles ahead of any other contestant (except for Sally). A great range (despite being a soprano), pristine voice without any weird or quirky affectations, she never hits a flat note. In a show called The Voice, she's definitely got it - Youtube view counts and comments seem to confirm just that. :)
