The Voice 2014’s Jermain Jackman has been told to ditch his dorky image.
The budding performer – who hopes to become the UK’s first singing black prime minister – has been told by mentor Will.i.am to be more cool!
At the weekend we saw Jermain win a spot in the semi-finals as Will’s ‘fast pass’ choice, meaning Jermain didn’t face the public vote and went straight through to this Saturday’s show.
Now Will wants Jermain not only to focus on his singing but also his image.
“Will is determined to make sure Jermain has the best chance of winning,” a show insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper at the weekend.
“He and Jermain have a close bond, and Will really feels a connection with him.
“They come from similar backgrounds and have a similar attitude towards politics and young people.”
Jermain will be competing against Sophie May Williams on Team Will in this Saturday’s penultimate live show.
The pair will be joined in the semi-finals by Jamie Johnson, Sally Barker, Christina-Marie Wickens, Lee Glasson, Bizzi Dixon and Chris Royal.
The next show airs on BBC One at 7pm on Saturday 29th March.
