The Voice UK is coming to ITV but when does it start on TV? Who are the coaches? Here's all we know so far!
Well we're now just over a week away from the first show!
ITV confirmed last year that it had purchased the rights to the singing talent series in a three-year-deal from 2017.
When does The Voice UK start on ITV?
The Voice 2017 launch date on ITV has been confirmed for next Saturday, January 7 at 8PM.
Who's hosting The Voice UK on ITV?
ITV have confirmed that Emma Willis will be back to front the show having hosted on BBC One. She said: “The Voice UK is very close to my heart and I’m absolutely delighted to be back on the show. Roll on the blind auditions!”
However ITV have confirmed Emma's former co-host Marvin Humes is NOT returning to present alongside her.
Who are The Voice UK 2017 judges?
Will.i.am became the first name CONFIRMED as a coach on The Voice UK on ITV back in July joining straight from the BBC One series.
But who else is joining him?
Well ITV have undone the BBC's controversial work to bring back Sir Tom Jones, who had been axed last year, alongside two brand new new names.
There's American singer Jennifer Hudson as well as British rocker Gavin Rossdale, lead singer of Bush.
Jennifer said: "The UK has always been so supportive of me since the beginning of my career so I’m really looking forward to sharing my point of view with the contestants and especially Team JHUD."
Gavin added: “I am so thrilled to be joining The Voice UK. I have always been extremely proud to fly the flag for British rock music. I can’t wait to join this incredible panel and help discover some new talent.”
What's new with the blind auditions?
As well as a revamped set, the blind auditions have a little extra twist this year.
On the BBC series, once an audition was over, all the chairs turned so the coaches who didn't hit the buzzer still saw acts and offered them advice or reasons why they hadn't spun.
But now those coaches that don't spin will NOT get to speak or even see the act who auditioned.
Host Emma explained: “If you don’t push your button for a contestant, you don’t get to see them… If nobody turns then nobody gets to see who’s sung."
What's the prize?
The winner of The Voice UK 2017 will scoop a life changing record contract with music giants Polydor Records.
The label is home to global music stars Take That and Ellie Goulding, as well as The 1975 and Years & Years.
What else do we know?
There was meant to be an ITV2 spin-off show similar to the Xtra Factor or More Talent. However it's since been revealed this has instead been replaced by an online digital show, The V-Room. Hosted by Radio 1 DJ Cel Spellman, The V Room will bring fans all the best from backstage.
What's all this about The Voice UK Kids?
The Voice UK Kids is a separate show for those aged between 7 and 14. It's set to air later in the Spring following the end of the main series. Will.i.am, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones (from McFly) are the coaches, with Emma Willis hosting.
