Mo's showstopping performance of 'Iron Sky' in the finale of the opening set of blind auditions on The Voice UK on Saturday night has already racked up 200,000 views online.
Gavin Rossdale was the first of the coaches to turn, followed by Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am before Jennifer Hudson left Mo with a full set of coaches to pick from.
The 21-year-old from Warrington went on to pick Jennifer as his coach after pitches from the four piece in the weekend's show.
It was an unusual audition for Mo, who was joined by his roommate Max Vickers who had auditioned just before him.
24-year-old Max had performed ‘You Can Call Me Al’ by Paul Simon and won a spot on Gavin's team, seeing both through to the battle rounds.
Max said: "It was so weird and my emotions were everywhere at our blind audition day. I was nervous for myself but for Mo as well as both of us just wanted to get through.
"We had each others back and would be supportive whatever the outcome was going to be. Thank God we're both through!"
He admitted: "In all honesty it would have been gutting if for example I didn't get through but we would have been supportive for one another. Mo sounds amazing and the fact we're both going through to the battles, the pressure intensifies."
And on working with his coach Gavin, Max added: "Gavin is so genuine, supportive and lovely. He just calms you down and makes you feel at ease. He is so easy to talk to and you can tell he cares and wants us all to do well. Team Gavin is so strong and everyone is so good! It never gets easy..."
While Max and Mo are still technically rivals, being on separate teams means at least they won't end up facing one another in the battle rounds next!
The Voice UK 2017 continues with the next round of blind auditions this Saturday night on ITV.
