The Voice 2017 hopeful Mo Adeniran has spoken about appearing on the show after his amazing first blind audition.
Mo's showstopping performance of 'Iron Sky' in the finale of the opening set of blind auditions on The Voice UK on Saturday night has already racked up 300,000 views online.
Gavin Rossdale was the first of the coaches to turn, followed by Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am before Jennifer Hudson left Mo with a full set of coaches to pick from.
The singer from Warrington went on to choose Jennifer as his coach after pitches from the four piece in the weekend's show.
Speaking this week, Mo admitted he was always planning to join Team Jennifer, assuming she turned around for him of course.
He told the Liverpool Echo newspaper: “It was a relief when so many judges turned around, but before I went I’d thought to myself that I’d go with Jennifer if I was lucky enough for her to turn round.
“My plan was that if Jennifer turned around then I’d pick Jennifer as my mentor. She’s so talented, her voice is amazing. She’s been through a lot and I really respect her.”
Praising the newbie coach, Mo went on: “Since the audition Jennifer has been amazing. She understands what I’m working towards. She really is a massive star, but it’s nice that she’s so humble and so nice.
“Everything about her is just great.”
And the 21-year-old also had nothing but good things to say about the rest of the show's team too.
Mo, who was invited to audition after being spotted by The Voice scouts, said: “Everyone on the show is so kind. It’s a great team and you’re made to feel right at home.
"Everyone from the producers, the mentors to the runners are just really kind. It’s been great to be a part of it and everyone is really supportive.”
The Voice UK continues on ITV this Saturday night at 8PM.
