The Voice 2017 RECAP! All of the blind auditions from week five

The Voice UK coaches

The Voice UK 2017 hit our screens again tonight for the fifth round of blind auditions on ITV.

Global music legends will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale are this year's coaches and on the search for the best vocal talent that Britain has to offer.

This year's winner will scoop a life changing record contract with Polydor Records but to be in with a chance contestants must first win a spot on one of the four teams.

Each of the coaches is looking to build teams of ten acts for the battle rounds and as the auditions draw to a close, winning a spin is proving ever trickier.

Ahead of tonight's show, Team Gavin and Team Jennifer both had seven spots filled while Team Tom and Team Will each had five acts, leaving a number of places on the line up.

As always, the first stage is the blind auditions where the contestants have 90 seconds to impress the coaches with their voices alone.

Sat with their backs to the stage and unable to see who's singing, if the coaches like what they hear, they hit their buzzer to spin around and select that artist for their teams. If more than one coach spins then it's up the act to pick which team to join.

However this year has seen a new twist that means if none of the coaches turn then they never get to see who auditioned, as the act who performed makes an immediate exit from the stage.

Here's how the fifth round of blind auditions went down tonight...

Shakira Lueshing

Age: 28
From: Bromley
Audition song: Freak of the Week (Krept & Konan)

Will.i.am was the only coach to turn for Shakira meaning she went straight to his team.

Lawrence Hill

Age: 25
From: Hertfordshire
Audition song: Save Tonight (Eagle Eye Cherry)

Will.i.am was the only coach to turn for Shakira meaning she went straight to his team.

Tom Johnston

Age: 22
From: Kent
Audition song: Hometown Glory (Adele)

Sadly, none of the coaches turned for Tom seeing him leave the stage without a place in the battle rounds.

Zara Okoro

Age: 18
From: Cheshire
Audition song: Alive (Pearl Jam)

Zara definitely gave it EVERYTHING in her audition with a powerful performance of Alive.

However despite her best efforts, none of the coaches turned for Zara seeing her leave the stage without a place in the battle rounds.

Bosie

Names: Taylor Mae Logan and Richard Graham
Age: 21
From: Glasgow
Audition song: Wicked Game (Chris Isaak)

Taylor Mae Logan and Richard Graham make up duo Bosie and no - they definitely aren't a couple.

The singing pair - whose group name is a Sottish slang word for "hug" - say they're just "good friends".

Gavin was the only coach to turn for Bosie meaning the duo went straight to his team.

Scarlet Thomas-Perry

Age: 22
From: Newport, South Wales
Audition song: Syrup & Honey (Duffy)

Welsh Scarlet is currently a paralegal and a part-time Princess at the weekends.

She told cameras she had auditioned for The Voice UK to see if she should pursue singing or stick to to her legal work.

Sadly, none of the coaches turned for Scarlet seeing her leave the stage without a place in the battle rounds.

Dannii Barnes

Age: 20
From: Guildford
Audition song: Tears (Louisa Johnson)

Jennifer was encouraging Will to hit the button for Dannii as she belted out Tears by Clean Bandit / Louisa Johnson.

However it was Sir Tom Jones who was the only coach to turn for Dannii meaning she went straight to his team.

"I didn't want to let you go," he told her.

Lucy Kane

Age: 20
From: Hertfordshire
Audition song: Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow (The Shirelles)

Lucy Kane was left speechless after getting two spins from the coaches.

Sir Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale both hit their buzzers for Lucy leading to a head to head pitch battle between the two.

After Sir Tom and Gavin offered up places on their teams for Lucy, she chose to join Sir Tom's team.

Miss Cherry Bomb

Name: Sarah Franks
Age: 40
From: Wiltshire
Audition song: Diamonds are Forever (Shirley Bassey)

Sadly, none of the coaches turned for Miss Cherry Bomb (aka Sarah Franks) seeing her leave the stage without a place in the battle rounds.

Israel Allen

Age: 26
From: Walthamstow
Audition song: And I Am Telling You (Jennifer Hudson)

Gavin Rossdale and Jennifer Hudson both turned for Israel, with him opting to join Team Jennifer.

With that song choice, we're not surprised!
