More than ONE BILLION people have watched videos on the official X Factor UK YouTube channel, it has been revealed.
The figures released this month make the show the second most watched YouTube channel for any telly show, behind only sister show Britain’s Got Talent.
Having only begun uploading videos in 2010, the show’s channel is also one of the Top 50 channels in the world.
Peter Cassidy, Head of Fremantle Media UK Interactive, said: “How fitting that our [cat c=”the x factor”]X Factor[/cat] YouTube channel hits one Billion views just as the new series has kicked off. There have been so many great moments over the years and we look forward to creating.”
The most watched videos on The X Factor channel include Cher Lloyd, One Direction and one of last year’s live show finalists, Janet Devlin.
But the most watched video was actually that of Abilisa’s audition in 2010, which saw the two friends come to blows on stage with one girl punching another.
Almost 30,000,000 people have watched that clip alone.
Other top clips include Jade Richards’ audition from last year and One Direction singing Only Girl in the World from the live shows in 2010.
