Brian Friedman is to leave The X Factor UK this week to move back to the US.
The creative director, who is in charge of putting together all of the performances for the live shows, will be working on the American version of the show.
And given the ratings of the series over there, they need all the help they can get.
Brian tweeted after last night’s live show: “Gotta head back 2 LA 4 @TheXFactorUSA now… I will miss @TheXFactor but I’ve left them in good hands! #JetSettingLife”
He added: “So proud of all of my @TheXFactor contestants tonight! U all brought it! Stay in touch xxx ”
Last year saw Beth Honan take over from Brian, having previously worked with Girls Aloud and former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.
Speaking about her new role, Beth explained to the official website: “As the Creative Director of the show alongside Brian Burke, we come up with the ideas and the concept of each performance, like how many dancers each contestant has on stage with them.
“Then Ray Leeper, Brian’s choreographer, and I decide who’s going to choreograph each production. So Brian and I come up with the feel and the mood of each performance, and then Ray and I are choreographing the artist and the dancers to make that concept fit.”

As well as featuring the latest sing off and subsequent elimination, this evening’s episode will also feature performances from JLS and Labrinth.
