Union J’s potential X Factor 2012 winner’s song has apparently been revealed today.
It was reported earlier that this year will see different X Factor winner’s singles for each act, with all four of the remaining finalists having already recorded their record.
Of course, only the winner will eventually release their track.
The Sun reports that X Factor boss Simon Cowell has given Union J Demi Lovato track Skyscraper to cover if they win the show.
The newspaper claims it’s a “shrewd move” made in a bid to boost Demi’s popularity here in the UK, since joining the X Factor over in the States this year.
It was confirmed yestrday that this year’s X Factor winner’s single will be in aid of children’s charity Together for Short lives.
The song will be available to download once The X Factor winner is crowned on the 9TH December.
Syco will donate 100% of its profits from the sale of each CD single and download to Together for Short Lives (Registered Charity No: 1144022). This is expected to be at least £1 for each CD and 20p for each download.
Simon Cowell, who has worked closely with Together For Short Lives for many years, said: “Together for Short Lives is such an inspiring and important charity for so many kids and their families who really need help and support.
“These hospices are really happy and positive places and are a complete lifeline for so many families. Having worked with this charity for many years I have been able to see first hand how they have impacted so many lives, and I’m delighted that The X Factor’s winner single sales will go directly to helping them.”
The X Factor 2012 continues this weekend on ITV1 and ITV1HD with the final four acts singing songs that they hope will get them into the final.
On Sunday’s results show, one more act get the axe and there will be performances from Pink and Tulisa.
