The X Factor 2012 winner’s singles have been revealed, so stop reading now if you don’t want to know!
The X Factor 2012 winners singles had been planned to be kept secret until the finalists perform live this weekend. At least in theory, bosses wanted to keep the songs selection a surprise ahead of the weekend’s live shows.
It was previously confirmed that this year each of the finalists would be singing their own track, with Union J having recorded Demi Lovato’s Skyscraper.
Jahmene Douglas’ single will be Let it Be by the Beatles.
James Arthur’s single will be Impossible by Shontelle.
Christopher Maloney’s single will be The Reason by Hoobastank.
They’re certainly interesting song choices.
It’s the third time that bosses have tried to release Impossible for an X Factor winner, with Leona Lewis and Cher Lloyd both previously getting the track.
While we reckon Jahmene’s choice is spot on, we’re not sure the other two selections are the best. Add your comments below!
It was confirmed last week that this year’s X Factor winner’s single will be in aid of children’s charity Together for Short lives.
The song will be available to download once The X Factor winner is crowned on the 9TH December.
Syco will donate 100% of its profits from the sale of each CD single and download to Together for Short Lives (Registered Charity No: 1144022). This is expected to be at least £1 for each CD and 20p for each download.
Simon Cowell, who has worked closely with Together For Short Lives for many years, said: “Together for Short Lives is such an inspiring and important charity for so many kids and their families who really need help and support.
“These hospices are really happy and positive places and are a complete lifeline for so many families. Having worked with this charity for many years I have been able to see first hand how they have impacted so many lives, and I’m delighted that The X Factor’s winner single sales will go directly to helping them.”
