The X Factor 2013 is heating, with even the acts admitting there's no love lost between them when it comes to the weekend.
Just seven acts remain in the competition as we approach the halfway point of the live finals, and some shock results have seen all the contestants on edge.
“Everyone wants to win," admitted Luke Friend this week. “So it’s quite competitive now.”
Sam Callahan, who has yet to be in the bottom two alongside Luke and fellow Boys category singer Nicholas McDonald, agreed.
“During the week we aren’t competitive at all, but as soon as the weekend comes it changes," he revealed.
The 19-year-old, who has been at the receiving end of criticism from the likes of Gary Barlow, added: “About an hour before we get on stage, the atmosphere turns and it’s all very tense.”
Meanwhile, Gary Barlow's lone remaining act Rough Copy insisted that any competition between the remaining finalists was "humble"/
“We are competitive, but in a humble way,” they claimed. “We’re like one big family at the end of the day.”
The X Factor 2013 continues next Saturday night with a Great British songbook theme.
