Saara Aalto has promised an album of "epic love pop" and hopes to duet with Sia on her record.
The X Factor 2016 runner up flew back to Finland yesterday where she announced news of a record deal, signing a joint deal with Sony Music UK and Sony Music Finland.
Saara said from Finland: "I arrived at the airport and there were so many people waiting for me, media, fans, with hearts with my name and they were welcoming me home.
"I was afraid nobody would come but there were so many people , I was really happy, that was the best homecoming ever."
Saara then announced: "I have this record deal with Sony Music UK and Sony Music Finland, together so we're going to make a very global album next year. I can't wait to get back to work next year."
Saara concluded: "It's going to be very exciting... YAY!"
Discussing her plans for her album, Saara has teased fans: "Epic love pop, that's what you're going to get. But how does it sound? Yuu will see, but it's going to be epic."
Saara went on to say she would love to duet with Sia or Adam Lambert, who the X Factor star performed with on this year's final.
Meanwhile, talking to The Sun newspaper, Saara spilled she had already been offered song written by Sia for her album.
"I'm now working with some of the best songwriters in the world and Sia has written a song that has been given to me," Saara told the tabloid. "Oh my god, it's just insane.
"I think Sia is a pretty good reference for me because her way of singing and the way she composes the melodies and writes the lyrics is very similar to what I've always done."
Saara will start work on her album in the new year.
