The X Factor is now well and truly over for another year but which finalists have been signed?

Well it turns out quite a number of various record deals have been agreed by the latest bunch of singers, and more are potentially on the way.

Here's who's been signed from The X Factor last year so far...

Matt Terry

As winner, Matt Terry had a guaranteed record deal waiting for him but he's not signed with Simon Cowell.

Instead, Matt has followed in the footsteps of 2011 winner Matt Cardle and penned an alternative deal, signing with RCA Records.

The label looks after other X Factor stars such as Olly Murs.

Matt said: "I plan on working extremely hard to be a successful artist, I would love to continue to be involved with X Factor and help future contestants."

Saara Aalto

It took just a week after the final for runner up Saara Aalto to agree a deal.

She's signed a contract worth up to 5 albums with Sony Music UK here and Sony Music Finland in her home country.

Saara told fans in December: "I have this record deal with Sony Music UK and Sony Music Finland, together so we're going to make a very global album next year. I can't wait to get back to work next year.

"It's going to be very exciting... YAY!"

5 After Midnight

5 After Midnight have a confirmed record deal with Simon Cowell's Syco label.

"There is no better label for them. If anyone knows how to find success with a boyband it’s Simon Cowell," a source told The Sun newspaper.

Insiders say that music chiefs hope 5 After Midnight could become as big as former X Factor stars One Direction.

“Syco has an incredible team of songwriters at their disposal to work on amazing hits for the band," the source said.

Emily Middlemas

Emily Middlemas hasn't been officially signed yet but said that Simon has told her an offer is there to work with him.

Speaking about signing her own contract, Emily revealed: "During the show Simon said to me, ‘you come to me when you feel ready’. After the tour I’m going to record some tracks for a possible album then call him and say, ‘I’m ready let’s work together’."

Although Emily is hoping Simon will take her music on, she revealed that offers from other companies have been flooding in too.

“Simon is my main focus. Hopefully I’ll release a single at the end of the year. Even if Simon says no to signing me, I have a lot of options," she teased. "And if no one is interested, I’d release it myself. I feel ready.”

Honey G

Honey G signed a single deal with Simon's Syco label. Her first song The Honey G Show has already been released.

The track was an epic flop and charted at Number 149 so it remains to be seen if anything else will follow.

However Honey G told DigitalSpy: "Believe it or not, one of the Syco producers has already written a second single and wants to release it in the New Year which is amazing.

"I have the backing of Syco and hopefully this will help in my next step in negotiating a record deal with them."

Samantha Lavery

Samantha Lavery doesn't have a confirmed deal yet but sources have claimed that Simon is interested.

The Daily Star newspaper reports that Samantha could be set to scoop a record deal with Simon's company.

"Simon signed Ella Henderson when she left the show at the same point Sam did so it isn't a stretch of the imagination," a source told the newspaper.

They added: "Sam was always the hardest worker on the show and got along with everyone – Simon even predicted she would win the series."

Ryan Lawrie

X Factor's Ryan Lawrie is set to sign a major new music deal, it's been reported.

The singer is hoping to pen a publishing contract that could see him writing hit songs for others.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "He's putting his own music career on hold to write other songs for others.

"He's working with some pretty decent people in the industry and has had interest from major publishing companies."

Brooks Way

Despite leaving the series 'by mutual consent' before the first live show, Brooks Way - aka The Brooks - could still be set to scoop a record deal.

The Sun newspaper reports that although nothing is signed just yet, there have been meetings at Syco's London HQ between music bosses and brothers Josh and Kyle.

"Josh and Kyle visited the Sony offices last week for some meetings and to meet execs," a label insider revealed to the tabloid "It’s very early days but potentially very exciting. The meetings seemed to go well – but the boys are keeping their feet on the ground."

The rest

As for the rest, it's a case of wait and see for now with labels having the option of signing acts up to three months after the final.
