Honey G has opened up about appearing on The X Factor and revealing just why she first auditioned.
Honey G - real name Anna Georgette Gilford - has gone from recruitment manager to one of the UK's most talked about music stars.
If not always for the right reasons...
Since leaving the show, Honey G has signed a record deal with Simon Cowell's Syco Music label and has already put out her first single.
Reflecting on her X Factor journey, Honey G opened up last week: "I entered the show because I wanted to achieve my dream of becoming a rap artist and have a record contract.
"In addition, one of the last things my Grandma said to me before she died was that she wanted me to pursue a career in the music business - so that's what I did!"
Honey G went on to praise those who helped her during her time on The X Factor live shows last year, saying: "The X Factor crew are the most amazing people I've ever worked with, ranging from the runners to the researches to the Executive Producers and the Syco music team.
"I have enjoyed working with them all so much during my time on the show."
Now the UK's next genuine urban artist is heading out across the UK and Ireland on tour with the X Factor's arena shows.
"Since leaving the competition, I have released my own single and now can't wait to embark on the live tour," Honey G said.
