Popular Hollyoaks character Carmel Valentine is to be confronted by the ghost of her late husband Calvin Valentine in an upcoming episode of the C4 soap, it has been confirmed.
The scenes which are set to air in mid-Febuary will see Ricky Whittle return playing a ghost of his deceased character as Calvin's ghost returns to comfort widow Carmel as she faces trouble in her personal life. The drama begins as bad boy Kyle Ryder gets his revenge on Carmel's cousin and Calvin's killer Theresa.
In explosive scenes, the bad boy kidnaps Theresa and daughter Angela and holds them hostage in a disused bank where lives will be at risk! In fact Theresa herself faces death as she flatlines in hospital but will she live to rue the day that she double-crossed baddie Kyle?
As the situation comes to a crisis point, religious Carmel prays to God and it appears that her prayers have been answered as Calvin appears before her. What comfort will this image of her late husband offer Carmel if any?
Teasing this exciting storyline, a source for Hollyoaks teased: ''Calvin's spirit reignites Carmel's love for the man she lost and leads her to make a tough decision about her future!''
The scenes with Calvin's ghost will air on the 14th of Febuary with further re-appearances set to happen further in the week. However, Whittle filmed his scenes while still in contract with the show before he filmed his exit so don't expect to see Calvin back from the dead.
Exciting times for Hollyoaks! Are you looking forward to seeing this reappearance and the exciting hostage situation or do you feel that the show has moved on since Calvin's exit?
