Although the BBC doesn’t comment on the wages of the EastEnders’ cast, it’s been reported that Danny Dyer is the highest paid with a yearly fee of £400,000.

Playing pub landlord Mick Carter, Danny apparently gets £100,000 more than the next highest paid star, including those who have been on the show for decades.

Steve McFadden, who plays Phil Mitchell, is said to earn £310,000 on his current contract while Adam Woodyatt reportedly receives £260,000 for his role as Ian Beale, the Daily Star newspaper reports.

The highest paid of the female cast is June Brown, who has played Dot Branning for almost 30 years.

It’s been reported that the BBC have offered June a new £300,000 contract to keep her on the show until at least March 2018.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Bosses at the BBC like to open talks early so things don’t go down to the wire.

“They realise June isn’t getting any younger but she has intimated that she wants to carry on in the role as long as she feels able, so that is great news.”

EastEnders continues most week nights on BBC One.
