Pointless hosts Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman have celebrated their 1,000th episode - by SWAPPING jobs!
The hit BBC daytime gameshow is about to reach the four-figure milestone, seven years after its first hit our screens.
To mark the occasion, Richard will step up to the master podium for one night only, becoming the main presenter for a special edition.
Likewise, Alexander will switch roles, sitting down at the desk to provide us with all the Pointless answers.
"I can't tell you how exciting this is for Richard and me!" said Alexander.
"I imagine it's probably fairly obvious how much we love making Pointless - but to pass the 1000th episode mark is a great tribute to a show that so many people work so hard on. Long may it prosper!"
Richard added: "I'm so delighted that the ridiculous rise and rise of Pointless continues and have loved spending 1000 episodes alongside my TV husband Xander.
"Swapping roles was a real treat but let’s just say I’m not in a hurry to do it again. Xander’s job is much harder than it looks!"
The special will see some of the most notable Pointless contestants return to play again for charity.
David and Christo, the first ever jackpot winners, are back - as are David and Jon, the lucky recipients of the show's largest ever prize (£24,750).
Joining them are Patrick and Sarah, whose three answers in the final round all scored nothing.
There's also a star duo in comedy hosts Trev and Simon, who were among the first winners of Pointless Celebrities.
As it's for charity, they will play for an increased £2,500 - with each Pointless answer adding an extra £1,000.
The champions will also take home special 1,000th edition Pointless trophies.
The 1,000th episode of Pointless will air on BBC One in the New Year.
